At SWE ME, our standards inform every stage of the process, from the materials we select to the way each piece is produced. Drawing on generations of expertise in diamonds and jewellery, we work with responsibly sourced materials, trusted partners, and a commitment to craftsmanship that guides every decision we make.
Materials
The materials we choose are fundamental to the quality, performance, and character of each piece. We work with responsibly sourced materials selected for their beauty, durability, and suitability to the design, partnering with trusted suppliers who share our commitment to high standards and responsible sourcing.
Diamond Selection
We work exclusively with natural diamonds. Drawing on generations of experience within the diamond trade, we carefully consider color, clarity, cut, and overall character when selecting stones. Across our collections, we work with diamonds of G colour and above and VS clarity and above, ensuring a consistent standard of quality, brilliance, and beauty.
While grading remains an important consideration, we also recognise that exceptional stones cannot always be defined by specifications alone. On occasion, particularly within our High Jewelry and One-of-One creations, we may select a stone whose unique character, rarity, or beauty makes it truly exceptional.
Coloured Gemstones
We work exclusively with natural coloured gemstones selected for their colour, clarity, cut, and overall character.
Each stone is carefully evaluated on its own merits, with consideration given to how it will contribute to the finished design. Whether incorporated into a contemporary fine jewelry collection or a one-of-one creation, we seek gemstones with exceptional presence and individuality.
18K Gold
We work exclusively with responsibly sourced 18K gold. Its balance of purity, strength, and workability allows us to achieve the level of refinement, detail, and finishing that we seek across our collections, from contemporary fine jewellery to one-of-one creations.
Titanium
Titanium allows us to explore colour, lightness, and forms not possible through traditional precious metals alone. Sourced through trusted partners, it gives us the freedom to experiment, push creative boundaries, and offer clients something unexpected, while maintaining the level of craftsmanship and wearability that defines our work.
Craftsmanship
Craftsmanship extends beyond the act of making. It informs every stage of the process, from sourcing and material selection to refinement, finishing, and wearability. We believe exceptional jewellery is the result of thoughtful decisions made consistently and with care.
Responsible Sourcing
We are committed to sourcing our materials responsibly and work with trusted suppliers and manufacturing partners with whom our family has built longstanding relationships over many years.
Our natural diamonds are sourced in accordance with the principles of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme. Our colored gemstones, gold, and titanium are sourced through carefully selected partners who share our commitment to ethical sourcing, responsible business practices, and high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
These longstanding relationships allow us to maintain confidence in both the provenance of our materials and the quality of our finished pieces.
Made to Order
The majority of our pieces are created on a made-to-order basis. This approach allows us to dedicate greater attention to production, finishing, and quality control while creating more intentionally. Each piece is crafted specifically for its future owner, allowing time for careful execution and refinement before it leaves our workshop.
