In 2024, SWE ME emerged as its own house as a modern expression of this legacy, where every design begins with something real: a moment, a mood, a sensation. These sparks are shaped into forms that move with the body, reflect its rhythm, and hold their own presence.

Chandni Mehta knew her carats before her ABCs. She attended her first jewelry show while on her mother’s arm and was put to sleep with stories of diamonds and gems. She has been a muse, mannequin, and critic for Sweta – often being the first one to try on her pieces.

The world of gems and jewels has shaped so much of Chandni’s understanding and perspectives on life. Furthermore, a BA in History & International Relations from King's College, London enriched her point of view on how people's roots drive them; how history - whether personal or public - influences generations, how stories are passed on as heirlooms and jewelry. Chandni's stint at Harper's Bazaar Arabia strengthened these notions further allowing her left-brained skills to be sharpened - business development, marketing, trade, and analysis. At SWE ME, while Sweta spearheads the creative and design functions, Chandni has taken charge of growth and marketing.

From playing dress-up with her mum’s designs to now being a co-founder of SWE ME with her, Chandni’s journey as an entrepreneur has begun in the best possible way – as a labour of love, with family.
